Field Trip to the sub-national parliament of Tyrol (Landtag von Tirol) with Annegret Eppler:

Students of the introductory seminar on EU politics visited on 12 May 2014 the sub-national parliament of Tyrol (Landtag von Tirol) together with their lecturer, Dr. Annegret Eppler. The course of this year’s summer term focuses on legitimacy, democracy, and parliaments within the EU multi-level system. Students were interested discussing the role and functions that a sub-national parliament can have in the EU´s „multi-level parliamentary system“ and had a lot of questions concerning the concrete handling of EU issues in the parliament of Tyrol. The director of the Landtag von Tirol, Dr. Thomas Hofbauer, gave precious insights into the work of the parliament.
